The eighteenth Detective Conan movie, Dimensional Sniper, that opened in Japanese theaters back in April and in other territories in the months since will be available at retail outlets on both DVD & Blu-ray beginning November 26th in Japan. However, the customary early rental period for the DVD version will begin this Thursday, October 2nd.
In accordance with past years, the retail version will be available in both standard and limited edition forms on both DVD & Blu-ray. The limited editions contain similar extras to past releases, including a special sleeve case and second bonus disc with unannounced extras. All four include a postcard featuring art from the movie drawn by Gosho Aoyama.
According to the same listing on Tsutaya, the first two of four tentatively-titled “Treasured Selections” will be issued on Blu-ray beginning December 26th and followed by two more on January 23rd. No further details are currently available as to what this entails, but early indications are they will feature select episodes from the TV series making their Blu-ray debut.
Lastly, the previously reported Blu-ray version of the earlier Magic Kaito anime series will be issued in a standard Blu-ray edition beginning October 17th. Unlike the previous pressing that was limited to 1412 copies and contained numerous extras, this set will contain only the episodes and will be priced at 11,412 yen.
